Frequently asked questions
Is there a free AI WhatsApp chat analyzer?
Yes. The on-device mode is free and needs no account: a small AI model downloads once into your browser and analyzes the chat locally. The cloud mode, with a much stronger model, is part of the WhatsAnalyze subscription.
Is my chat uploaded when I use AI?
With on-device AI, nothing is uploaded at all. With cloud AI, only anonymized excerpts are sent: your browser replaces names with placeholders and removes phone numbers, emails and links first, and you can see exactly what is sent before you start. We don't store it, and our AI provider doesn't use it for training.
Which AI models do you use?
On your device: a small open model that runs in your browser through WebGPU — Qwen 3.5 (2B) on computers, Llama 3.2 (1B) on phones. In the cloud: a current model from Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI (GPT), whichever gives the best results at the time.
What does the AI tell me about my chat?
A summary and the overall vibe, each person's role and writing style, how you interact (who initiates, balance, warmth), your recurring topics and a few memorable moments.
Why doesn't the on-device AI work on my phone?
It needs WebGPU and roughly 1 GB of free memory for the AI model. Recent iPhones (iOS 26 or later) and most recent Android phones with Chrome can run it; older devices can't, and closing other apps helps. The cloud AI works everywhere.
Should I remove anything before using the cloud AI?
Names, phone numbers, emails, links and bank account numbers (IBANs) are replaced automatically before anything is sent. Passwords, PINs and other secrets typed into a chat can't be recognised reliably, though. If your chat contains any, use the on-device AI, or open "See exactly what the cloud AI would receive" and check first.
